Adrián turned pro in 2011 at the age of 18.
From 2011 to 2013 Adrián played on the Challenge Tour.
Gained his European Tour card for the 2013 season through Qualifying School.
Otaegui secured his first European Tour title with a victory over Marcel Siem in the final at the 2017 Saltire Energy Paul Lawrie Match Play.
The 2018 Belgian Knockout were his second European Tour title, showcasing his strong match play abilities.
He won the 2020 Scottish Championship finishing with a final round 63 to secure the win.
In 2022 he won the Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucía Masters.
In May 2024 he won the Volvo China Open.
Adrián Otaegui played in the inaugural LIV Golf Invitational Series.
In June 2023, Otaegui had been sanctioned with a four-tournament ban from the European Tour having played in multiple events in the 2022 LIV Golf Invitational Series. He was also fined £240,000.
