Jack Newton won one PGA Tournament, the 1978 Buick-Goodwrench Open in a playoff. Runner up was Mike Sullivan.
Jack Newton was born on the 30th of January 1950 in Cessnock, New South Wales, Australia.
Sadly Jack passed away on the 15th of April 2022 at the age of 72 due to health complications.
In 2007 Jack Newton was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for services to golf. He was heavily involved in youth development and fundraising roles.
Jack turned pro in 1969.

On the 24th of July 1983 Jack had a near fatal accident when he walked into a spinning propeller of a Cessna aeroplane at Sydney Airport. In the accident he lost his right arm and eye.
