According to the rules of golf, a golfer is allowed to carry a maximum of 14 golf clubs in their bag during a round of golf.
This rule is enforced by the United States Golf Association (USGA) and the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews (R&A), which are the governing bodies of golf.
The 14-club limit includes all types of clubs, such as drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, irons, wedges, and putters.
If a golfer is found to be carrying more than 14 clubs during a round of golf, they will be penalized with a two-stroke penalty for each hole where the breach occurred, up to a maximum of four strokes.
Golfers are not required to carry 14 clubs, and many golfers choose to carry fewer clubs depending on their individual preferences and playing style.
