For both Jason Day and Min Woo Lee this is an Olympic debut.

Day was eligible for Rio 2016 but declined the opportunity for personal reasons.

Both Hannah Green and Minjee Lee ranked inside the top 10 in the world rankings at the time.

At Rio 2026 Marcus Fraser finished fifth in the men's competition. Hannah Green matched that result at Tokyo 2020 in the women's competition.

• A total of 120 players (60 per gender) are competing.
