Sebastian Munoz was born on the 4th of January 1993 in Bogotá, Colombia.
He started playing golf at the age of 3 with his father.
Played college golf at the University of North Texas (2011-15) with fellow professionals Carlos Ortiz and Rodolfo Cazaubón.
As an amateur he won the 2010 Copa Joaquin y Tomas Samper Brush, 2010 Canadian International Junior Challenge, 2012 Abierto de Golf Ciudad de Ibague, 2012 Abierto de Golf, 2013 Torneo Aficionado Segunda Semana, 2014 Abierto de Golf Ciudad de Ibague, 2014 Abierto de Golf Bucaramanga, 2014 Jim Rivers Intercollegiate and 2015 Conference USA Championship.
Sebastian turned pro in 2015.
He joined the Korn Ferry Tour in 2016, the PGA Tour Latinoamérica in 2016 and the PGA Tour in 2017.
He won the 2016 Club Colombia Championship with a score of 272 (-12). Runners up were Matt Atkins and Richy Werenski one stroke behind.
Sebastian Munoz won his first PGA Tournament, the Sanderson Farms Championship, in 2019. His total score was 270 (-18). He won the tournament in a playoff agains Im Sung-jae.
He tied for 19th at the 2020 Masters Tournament.
Muñoz has represented Colombia in international competitions, including the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, where he finished tied for fourth after being part of a seven-man playoff for the bronze medal.
In 2022, Muñoz was selected for the International team in the 2022 Presidents Cup. He played three matches, winning two and tying the other.
In February 2023 Munoz joined LIV Golf ahead of its second season. As a result, he was suspended from the PGA Tour.
