Bernd Wiesberger was born on 8 October 1985 in Austria.

Bernd turned pro in 2006 and currently plays on the European tour. He finished the 2019 season in third place in the Race to Dubai standings.

In 2017 Bernd Wiesberger became the first person on the European Tour to record nine birdies in a row at the Maybank Championship at Saujana Golf and Country Club.

With preferred lies in place the record was not counted officially but this didn’t detract from the Austrian’s historic display. His score of nine-under 63 moved him into the 36-hole lead in emphatic fashion.

Wiesberger went on to record further rounds of 73 and 66, finishing in third place on 17-under-par, two strokes behind winner Fabrizio Zanotti.
