Ángel Cabrera was born on 12th September 1969 in Córdoba, Argentina.

His nickname is "El Pato" in Spanish ("The Duck") because of his waddling gait.

At the age of 10 Cabrera was a caddy at the Córdoba Country Club.

He first qualified for membership of the European Tour in 1996.

Cabrera is one of the most recognized golfers in the history of Argentine golf, and this is due to his great charisma and his excellent professional performance.

He has two sons: Federico and Ángel Jr. His sons are professional golfers and have competed on PGA TOUR Latinoamérica.
