More about the AT&T Pro Am

  • The origins of the tournament go all the way back to 1937 when Bing Crosby hosted and Sam Snead won over 18 holes. They called it the "Crosby Clambake".
  • Pebble Beach has been the one constant in courses since 1947. Spyglass Hill has been included every year since 1967 except for 1977.
  • Brandt Snedeker holds the tournament record shooting 22 under in 2015.
  • There has been one player in the tournament’s history that has won both as an amateur and as a professional! Gene Littler won as a 23 yr old amateur in 1954 before turning professional. He won it again – this time as a pro – in 1975.
  • The tournament has been a fundraising effort since its inception. The Monterey Peninsula Foundation manages the event and last year donated $13.2M to non profits in the local area. Clint Eastwood is their Chairman.
